STEWARDSHIP

At Thomasville United Methodist Church, we believe in stewardship. As members of the United Methodist Church, we vow be faithful to Christ through the church and to support the church with our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. Our vision is to be a community that practices extragant generosity.

We believe stewardship is the a spiritual discipline and the practical expression of the spiritual fruit of extragant generosity rather than a financial campaign.   Stewardship is more than an act performed.  It is more than a financial transaction. Stewardship is a lifestyle to be lived.  It is a lifestyle based on the conviction that our very life is a gift from God.  It is a lifestyle based on the conviction that giving is done out of the need of the Christian to give rather than the need of the church to receive.  It is a lifestyle based on the conviction that we are not part of a club or organization that must pay dues, but rather we are followers of Jesus Christ who want to give unselfishly as an act of discipleship.

If you would like to discuss engaging in stewardship as a spiritual discipline, please reach out to us through our Contact Us page. If you would like to give a tithe or an offering, please click the give button at the top right corner of your screen for directions.

"Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
