Thomasville United Methodist Church Leadership

Thomasville United Methodist Church is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.

Rev. Erin T Bevis

Pastor

Rev. Erin Bevis was born and raised in the United Methodist Church (mostly at Pensacola FUMC, where her grandfather was a 50 year member).  As a lay person she served in many different leadership positions at Saint Paul’s UMC in Tallahassee, FL, including youth and young adult ministry,  women’s ministry, and as a certified lay speaker.  During her time in Tallahassee she did graduate studies in Developmental Psychology and worked at a community-based mental health center providing social services to people experiencing mental health crises.  Her desire to follow God’s call in her life led her to pursue vocational ministry in a second career.

Rev. Bevis received her M.Div. from Candler School of Theology at Emory University.  While a student she served part-time appointments at two UM churches south of Atlanta.  Since graduation and returning home to the Alabama-West Florida Conference she has served as pastor to the Bermuda Charge, and Ebenezer and McIntosh UMC.  She is married to John Bevis, and they are expecting their first child in the fall of 2021.  Rev. Bevis is passionate about teaching, worship, and working with the rest of the body of Christ to spread the love and grace of God in creative ways.
